James R. Buescher,  34, of 93 Pinnacle Road West, Holtwood, PA, died on Sunday, September 19, 2010, as a result of a head on crash in Lehigh County.

James had graduated from Wake Forest University as a presidential scholar.  He was a published playwright, the author of a Las Vegas travel guide, and the winner of several newspaper writing awards.  He had been an award winning correspondent for the Lancaster Newspaper Inc since 2003.  James had taught for a year at a University in Slovakia and also had taught ESL at Harvard University for one year.  He was a supporter of Amnesty International and the Humane Society.

James was born in Lancaster, a son of Jerome and Evelyn Johnson Buescher, Holtwood. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sandra Buescher, and his brother, Jerry Buescher, both of Cleveland, OH.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at Mt. Eden Lutheran Church, 1241 May Post Office Road, Quarryville on Thursday, September 23, 2010 , promptly at 11:00 A.M.  The family will greet friends from 10:15 A.M. until the time of service, and also following the service at a luncheon to be held at the church. The burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amnesty International, or the Humane Society.
